Service In Rrg (T25 Ave 2.2 D4D)

Hi there.

I want to ask you a question.

Is it worth to do 60K service in toyota for cost of £235 + £41 for breaks&cluch fluid change?

Or is it a rip off?

I am 2nd owner and all previous services have been done by rrg. I wanted to continue the service book but I'm not sure if it is worth its price.

I read the job description and most of things they really do is just "checks", they dont even change the air filter.

What do you think?

Thank you.

That sounds very expensive, i would shop around first if i were you. When you eventually bring the car for its service you can supply the pads and oil yourself if your not happy with price they gave you.shutup.gif

Well, I'm not saying that I'm not happy with the price. I just wanted to ask other avensis owners who maybe have done their services in rrg what are their opinions.

Its dead easy to change the oil and all the filters on the car if you're a little handy with a spanner. Mobil 1 ESP(5w-30) off eBay for £26 for a 5ltr tin. Oil filter a fiver, fuel filter £15, K&N Air filter £38(Lasts forever) And a couple of hours later its all done.

I use RRG services and i am perfectly happy with them, peace of mind is what i feel i get and due to useing them and my book stamped i feel i had no problem with them when my engine was recently rebuilt.

It might cost more but if you can afford a main dealers stamp might help sell your car at a later date, do you know the garage well enough to let them service it, i know and trust mine to do a good job with a sheet of wear and tear to be aware of.

Hmmmm....interesting. The manual says that we should refil 5.8 liters if we change the oil filter an 5 liter if dont change the filter.

What have you been doing? 5 or 5.8?
