Driver's Leather Seat

I've read on other topics that there was an issue with the right side of the driver's leather seat, and that most issues were resolved by MrT. Mine is wrinkled very badly at that part only and the rest of the seats are perfectly contained.

Although its not teared yet do you think I should claim the issue with MrT.

Mine is an 06 Plate with first reistration on 07.

Any advices would be greatly appreciated :help:

I suspect that 'If it ain't broke they won't fix it' :unsure:

My drivers seat is also very wrinkled etc but only on the valance part where you must catch it getting in and out. I lathered it with leather care cream and it has improved it no end. Almost like the cream has tightened it up. It was like this when I got the car so i suspect the last owner never put any care cream on the seats at all

I don't know how Toyota deal with things in your neck of the woods but they do accept policy warranties here on occasions for split seats. You could try writing to them and attach this;

Mine is 06 and mine has the splits. Dealer told me to F**K off and that was only because I had fell out with them earlier for delivering me a car with tyre pressures down to a dangerously low levels and a few other issues. When I complained about the seat they dig heals in and must have told Toyota to do the same as they wouldnt budge either so I wouldent worry lol

If your seat cover has splits as shown in the TSB then how can they refuse to replace - they issued the bulletin? I would write to Toyota UK.

My car is just over 4 years old and I'm planning to try and get the corroded alloys replaced or repaired in/part or full following a letter to Totota UK. Who knows, maybe as we've had two brand new Ravs in recent years they might oblige?? Worth a try!!

My car had just turned 4 years old and they said interior trim wasnt covered and as it was out of warranty anyway they couldnt help. Had I not fallen out with the garage I feel they may have though. I did write to Toyota but they insisted it was a no go. I actually wrote 3 times. They sided with the garage as I know for a fact the garage will have informed them they wernt going to fix the seat and the reason why. I then informed Toyota about the shoddy service I recieved from RMB and how my car had been delivered with a wing mirror piece missing, tyres dangerously low in pressure (so much so the TPMS light was on) along with a stamped service book when the service hadnt even been done
