Surface Rust On 2010 Landcruiser

Hi, I was washing my car this morning and I noticed some minor surface rust on the chassis. The individual areas are not large but the car is 7 months old and has only covered 4K miles. I am surprised to see rust on a relatively new car - my previous Honda Jazz was rust free at 6 years old. Is this normal ?

Regards

Get it back to the dealer, most cars have a warranty especially for corrosion

OK -- it is good when you have disclosed it on the first stage of owning.

My opinion is all suspension; driving tail shaft have minority been painted and i suppose it was done especially. this compels the owner to buy spares soon and give a job to the manufacturing plant. The first thing i ve done is to lift the car up, clean and re-paint ann suspension parts; waste gas pipes, driving cardan shaft. it takes one day but after you are free for some years. Follow this advice -- it really works.

Cheers/Igor

Spot on lads - this really shouldn't happen on a new vehicle, take it back to the dealer - and if they are any way decent they will look after you. If not - kick up a fuss with the compliants dept at Toyota.
