Airflow Meter

having a airflow problem (i think)

when my engine warms up, i loose all acceleration from revs 1k to 3.5k but once above 3.5k cars very responsive, no engine management light on,

when the airflow meter sensor is disconnected the car runs fine,

iv had the sensor replaced but the problem continues so the garage fitted a new one (to rule out a faulty sensor) and still once the engine is warm all acceleration power dies till revs > then 3.5k revs

the garage then tested something to do with the egr valve but problem still same, any ideas?

Disconnecting the MAF sensor forces the ECU into default mode. When in this mode the ECU over-rides most other sensors making you think the engine is running OK.

A dirty or blocked EGR valve could cause similar symptoms. Did the garage clean the EGR valve or even have a squint inside?:)
