Yaris T-Spirit Integrated Tomtom

If, like me, you take delivery of the new T Spirit don't be tempted to follow the advice that comes with the Tomtom nav system.

It advises going on line and updating the maps that come with it. If you do this it completely disables the otherwise outstandingly good voice recognition system.

And Tomtom are not much help either. I have described the problem to them in great detail and three times they have sent the same file, telling me how to load it into the Tomtom. Have followed their instructions to the letter and it makes not a jot of difference.

I am currently awaiting their latest thoughts on the subject.

My advice is to leave updating strictly alone until they have sorted themselves out. Would be interested to hear if anyone else has encountered this problem.

I updated mine and the voice recognition works fine.
