Buying A 2007 Yaris Zinc

Hi guys,

As mentioned in the topic title, I am looking to buy a 2007 Yaris Zinc 1.3. I test drove the car yesterday and it drives spot on. I am going back to see the car tomorrow as they are fixing some minor things, such as:

- the bonnet wouldn't open (the link is broken)

- the air con button has sort of collapsed ???

The car has 1 owner from new (apart from the trader who I believe bought the car couple of days ago at an auction) and comes with full toyota service history (lots of invoices and receipts).

It's done 77,000. Luckly, I found some contact details of the man who was the only owner and contacted him yesterday. He said he has never had any problems with it and the only reason why he sold the car is was because he got a new one. He even told me that the bumper had to be resprayed 2 years ago. The man seemed very honest and said the only thing he had changed were tyres +regular service and work required for the mot.

The car looks and drives really nice. I haven't had a chance to look under the bonnet yet, but I would be really suprised to find something unexpected.

I was hoping someone could tell me what to look for when buying a yaris. 77k is a lot of miles. I know it is a toyota but is it safe to spend £4000 on a car with over 77k on clock?

Thanks,

Hi man,

look u decide whether u want to buy it or not...if u have test drive the car and found nothing wrong (apart the minor repairs u mentioned above), zen i wud advised u to go for it. Im telling you this since i have just bought a Toyota 2007 Yaris Dark Gray 1.0 (as it is from Japan.

Mileage is 27600 km-one owner with everything i mean spare keys, alloy wheels etc. one or two minor scratch (negligible) on the rear bumper. The car looks really beautiful and nice for driving... i really love it. for me it was worth spending £10,500 on a car with over 27k on clock...

Regards
