toyota cardiff quoted me £55 for 2 new front windscreen wipers which i think is just stupid

but this site has quoted me £13 for the pair

but sinse they sent me this ive emailed back and rang them, ive left answer phone messages and still had no reply

what i wanted to know is

are these part numbers for the total wiper blade or replacement wiper rubbers

if they are the wiper blade are they the new style for my auris

Ive already explained, the above part numbers are OPTIFIT PARTS, a range of parts for older Toyota's

They are NOT exactly the same as the original blades, they are made not quite as a universal fit, but will fit more models as they a not an exact replacement

The parts used in the price promise are OPTIFIT parts, as per the above part numbers, if you want the ORIGIANL blades, the price promise does not apply and you will need to pay the £55

You can also buy replacement rubbers (oooh errr) to fit into your original blades

I'll bet they don't squeak after a couple of months and actually last 2 or 3 times longer before they need replacing??

I bought some from Halfords for the Wife's Suzuki Alto some years ago... Took them back 2 weeks later 'cos they squeaked more than she did!!

They're probably made by Valeo or another good quality supplier for Toyota. Yes, a total rip off!

This place have suitable blades, Valeo and Bosch, I doubt they will squeak after a couple of months unless your screen is greasy. http://www.wiperblades.co.uk/toyota-auris-years-2007-to-2011-wiper-blades/

I`d rather wipe the wind screen with my arms hanging out the windows then pay £55 quid.

You can get Bosch ones from Halfords, (and Halfords is notoriously expensive), a lot cheaper than £55

well here is my update with my wiperblades

typical toyota CARDIFF LIED to me YET AGAIN

i asked them if they will sell just the rubbers and they told me no that toyota dont do them and that i would have to pay £55 for new ones

so i phoned toyota bridgend and they told me toyota cardiff were wrong that they do sell just the rubbers, just how can they tell me that when all toyota dealers use the same computer network.

so i drove to bridgend yesterday and collected and fitted them for £20

I have found out over the years buying parts for my 2006 Toyota Avensis is not all Toyota dealers are the same

There are 3 Toyota Dealers round me and i have used them all for parts

Some sale only Optifit parts and some genuine Toyota Parts i always go for genuine Toyota Parts

They last longer than Optifit parts
