Corolla Verso

Hi all, new to this site so bear with me please.

I am in the processof changing cars, and i am looking to go back to Toyota. I need a car that will tow a caravan that weighs 1149kg, must be auto, and prefer a diesel for the torque.

I also need a high up driving position as my wife cannot get in and out of low cars. I have a budget of 5 to 6k,and am looking at an 04/05 plate, i have been told the RAV 4 is no good for towing, unless someone out there knows better, the Corolla verso is another i like but am not sure about the fuel consumption on the 2ltr or 2.2 ltr auto.shame Toyota don't do the Verso in an auto diesel, that would be ideal.
