Wotsha Woody,

Go on eBay and just type in "boot liner tray" and you will find them nae borra. The Toyota one for what it does (i.e. the self same thing as the copies on ebay) is like the small venison you go out hunting for....it's a wee bit dear. (Oh.....).

Make sure you get the one with the central anti-slip area incorporated, as some dogs that travel in the rear of Ravs have had to be renamed Torville and Dean coz the liner is so treacherous.

Going by your hobbies, I presume that's why you mention RUBBER mats....personally I hate them, but you can buy Mud Trays which have a slight lip to really catch all the crud off yer Hunting Boots (or blood from the deer you kicked to death when ye ran out of bullets.... )

Any help needed to trace said merchandise, just shout.

Big Kev

Charlie....posted 3 minutes apart....spookful...!!!

Hi Woody,

would it be possible for you to update your TOC profile so that your RAV model is displayed along with your name etc on your postings? This helps other members considerably as the advice you would get for a 4.1 might be very different from that for a 4.3.

mats are a case in point. The Toyota boot liner for the 4.3 is a brilliant design and worth every penny IMHO, BUT I don't know if they do one for the 4.1. The guy you really want to ask about this is Parts King our resident spares/parts/accessories expert and supplier. He might well pop in when he has a minute.

Speaking for myself,I looked at rubber mats etc just after reading tips to get better MPG (I know swap for an oil burner!),anyway after lifting those items off the shelf and felt the combined weight of them, decided it would just result in more fuel being used dragging that extra weight around.I thought I may as well carry that weight in tools, which would maybe,be more useful.

Just my opinion,of course.

Now,now,Charles, just where would one be, if one did not maintain ones standards.

I'm sure you are aware that that could lead to ones downfall, and I,m teetering on the edge now.

Good of you to try and make me see the error of my ways but I think its too late in the day for this old leopard. :D

Look at Woody's avatar,,,,he's even trained his Shortbread Fingers to wield an axe....!!! What a Hunter, BUT IS IT NOT ALL UP HILL,MAN....?

You have a 4.2 model from its last year of manufacturisation, Woody, but don't expect any civility from Bothwell Buyer....

you have too many doors, and the fuel you burn is totally unacceptable to him.

Sorry....bootliner I recommended was for more recent models....CHECK PRIOR TO PURCHASE.

Hi Woodsman (good,eh?)

Just had wee squint at the bay of fleas....plenty of bootliners...ranging from the one you need with the anti-slip section at £30..ish, up to an official Mr.T one at £96.00, with free delivery.(kind offer...no delivery charge...).

Maybe that includes a chocolate brown labrador and some Gates' green wellies thrown in.....? :yahoo:

The genuine boot liner is about £50 for a 4.2 RAV, they also do rubber mats but only front pairs, no rears, about the same price, plus a bit for carriage, PM me if you need to purchase

Kingo

You got a sun roof Kev? If so you could try printing off some large Owl silhouettes [You only need the faces - bit like this  ]

Lay them on top of the sliding inner sunroof screen. It seems to work with crows so may be effective at scaring gulls too.

I had to have the sunroof rubber seal replaced last year as it appeared to be disintegrating and couldn't get to the bottom of why.

After it was done I happened to go back to my car in the work car park during the day and noticed a crow pecking at the new seal and, sure enough, there was a small piece missing from the edge of the seal. Apparently they go after wiper rubbers too.

Had no problems since I placed the silhouettes about 3 months ago.

Just thought - you could get one of these as a bonnet emblem - would be a real HOOT
