Paseo Parts

Hi ppl,

I just recently serviced my 96 paseo with toyota (since i thought i mite as well keep the FTSH B) ) but was shocked at the minor service of £131 - of which only £18 were parts. Im hoping to avoid this labour costs by purchasing genuine toyota parts elsewhere <_< and getting a friend who is a mechanic to carry out the servicing :P . Any ideas as to where abouts i can get genuine/toyota partsfrom? (apart from the obvious Autobase toyota dealer) .

If you want genuine Toyota parts, then go to a Toyota dealer as you won't get them elsewhere.

Many pattern parts are made by the same people as the Toyota genuine parts though.

if the parts were 18 why not just get them from toyota? oil filter 3 -5 pound, oil 10 to 20 pounds??? what other parts did they fit?, please dont tell me they charged u 131 for an oil change and inspection

Hi there, 18 for parts but that was minor service - simple change of oil + fuel filters - change of oil etc - rest was labour. i was quoted £230 for full sevice (service B ) and hell no am i gonna pay that! Yep ill prob go get the parts from toyota - but was just wondering if they are specialists who sell the parts as well for the possiblity of getting them cheaper
