Advice On Parts

as I´ve realized I might have posted earlier in the wrong forum I´ll try here.

Just got me a Carina E with the 3s-ge engine (3.gen.) I´m looking for webstores to supply me with spareparts and tuning parts altough I´m aware it might be difficult to find stuff for a car of this age.

For engine tuning, look at the Celica ST202 if yours is the rev3 3SGE engine. Breathing mods help a lot - induction and exhaust. Or you can go all out and drop a ST205 engine in it - 280+ hp running 1.1 bar boost.

Finding lowering springs may be harder, but as it has super strut suspension, ST202 SS3 springs may work.

Brakes upgrade, is also easy as you can bolt on ST205 front and rear discs and calipers but you will need wheels with the correct offset as the ST205 calipers are huge.

Also www.eurocarparts.com Not in the same league pricewise though.

Since I don´t really get any response to this thread can I assume that cars in UK never are in the need af any spareparts??

Some help with some links to autoparts traders who ship to europe would be nice.

Also looking for tuning parts: exhausts and manifolds, brakes, airfilters, suspension, wheelnuts + all the stuff you never knew you had to have

Surprisingly enough those sort of service parts should be easily obtainable through your local Toyota dealer

Not sure about Denmark but do you not have a motor parts company similar to our Halfords.........They may be slightly cheaper.......but you might just be pleasantly surprised how little Toyota can charge for service items

As you said........I understood that aftermarket tuning and modification was frowned upon by the authorities in Denmark......So cannot see why you want these parts

Red Yaris, thank you too, but I think you need to start from the top. I never mentioned that tuning and mods was frowned upon by authorities. If Toyota parts were cheaper in Denmark I don´t see why I should look for parts elsewhere. Denmark is a very special country carwise. We pay 3 times as much for our cars as you do, so some special cars are very rare here, incl. the Carina Gti. Will have a look at Halfords.

Apologies for any misunderstanding but you did sat that turbo engine was not an option due to Danish MOT laws....

My understanding was that modification/ tuneing was not as readily acceptable within Europe as it is in the UK

EU regulations may eventually prevent departure from standard specifications..........That will be a sad day!
