hi i have a 90 camry that i just bought and had the head gasket replaced on it a week ago....my mechanic completed the job, started it and it ran great.. he let it run for a little while just to be sure it was fixed and it started running funny... first the car was leaking gas and he replaced an o-ring on one the injectors and that fixed the leak but when he started it ran but as soon as you give it gas it cuts off... then he replaced the fuel pump and the mass air flow meter and still same problem.. i dont think it has anything to do with the head gasket job that he did... he said the car might have run itself out of gas and clogged the fuel pump up thats why he replaced it and still same problem... any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi and welcome to toc.it sounds like the problem is fuel related.is there a fuel filter that needs replacing.no doubt your mechanic has checked all the things disturbed when the cyl head was removed.only way is to work from the fuel tank through the system to check for starvation.if you put your question on the forum i am sure there are those familier with the camry who could give advice.
