Good post.

I winced when I saw that guy's white Prius being so savagely attacked. It reminded me of my own white car. Still, he seemed to take it rather well, all things considered. Not a word of protest.

So the Gen2 scores slightly higher except for pedestrian safety, 2004 model tested so may have altered up till 2009

gen3 adult occupant 32 points

gen2 " " 34 points

Gen3 child occupant 40 points

Gen2 " " 43 points

Gen3 pedestrian 24

Gen2 " 13

It's a bit like that lovely lady that gives you directions on the map, she doesn't get annoyed when you ignore her 'cos you know better, she calmly carries on telling you to make a u turn where possible!

My gen2 satnav doesn't do that unlike our old tomTom, if we take a wrong turn it takes us all around the houses until we eventually get back on the route so presumably the Gen3 tells you different?

I'm not sure, but I do think that a few years back there was a major change to the Ncap tests. They were not so much up to date, so that should mean something like a pre change 5 star car would be a 3 or 4 star today.
