Hi all

I wonder if someone might be able to point me in the right direction?

I am about to order order H&R lowering springs, might anyone be able to recommend a garage in Surrey (North preferably) that will be able to fit these for me at a reasonable cost and professionally?

Any steer on likely cost for fitting, or even better, if you have had similar work carried out and can recommend, that would be ideal.

I have put on H&R on my IQ, I done the work myself its not that bad. You should not pay more than £200 for the job to be done.

My partner fitted mine, he said the rear is easy but the fronts he had a bit more difficulty with as the space is so tight. No idea on fiting costs though..

I just told you the fitting cost £200

Ok then, where in Surrey can they go to get it done for less than £200? Thats what the specific question was if you want to get funny about it.

Kwik Fit, National, any large tyre fitters it goes on time only its about 2 half hours work.

stecat,

are you Ok with possibly invalidating your warranty if it is still valid at present?

(remember to inform your insurance company in writing of the modification & have them confirm reciept of notification)

Why not just pull in to 2 or 3 local professional garages local to you

& get an actual quote.

& find out if they are interested in doing the work.

Always good to get a relationship going with a place you may need to use in the future.

(enquire at a place that does 'Custom/performance' jobs, & see their price to supply the parts & fit,

many places dont like customers bringing in the parts, or can supply for you better parts or at equal cost & even cheaper sometimes.)

Please dont go to some 'tyre & exhaust' place that probably doesnt have a trained or qualified Motor/vehicle/ Mechanic working there.

I dont know any 'multinationals' that actually do take a customers car & performance parts & fit 'officially',

as in you will have any comeback on them,

when as more than likely, some 'half trained fitter' messes things up.

I used to live in Dorking but now just outside Brighton...

Why has where I live come into it anyway?

I dont need springs fitted, I only answered where I live as I was asked. I used to live in Surrey, I never said I live in Surrey now.

This thread has gone completely off topic and I apologize to the OP

Topic tidied up!

Sorry for throwing a curve ball in. Only I work in Surrey and would have carried out the work for you. I'm a Toyota Licienced technician and would have done it cheaper than your dealer thats all.

I hope it's all been sorted for you now
