Interior Plastics - Scratch Removal

I think we all know that the Prius (and probably most other modern cars) is prone to the interior plastics scratching very easily. Has anyone found a good way of masking or removing them? I seem to have one or two on the lower doors where the plastic has been caught by a shoe or bag. I've tried interior plastic cleaner / preserver to no avail but was wondering whether very fine sandpaper would work?

Any thoughts?

I had similair scratches on my plastic interior in boot area....if your interior is grey coloured...try rubbing gently with toothpaste..........did this on mine and although it didn't remove the scratch completely it did mask it.

dont know about other modern cars being as poor quality as toyota.my auris seems to scratch by just looking at the plastic interior trim.how they manage to assemble the car without marking the plastic is a miracle, must haven known how poor the quality when developing the car.both my ford mondeo plastic were far superior as is my wifes hyundai.the car is built on the cheap.never had a corrola but have heared they were a lot better.

people go on about how good toyota are,but they are a bit like the curates egg, good in places.
