Advice On Turbo Shaft Play Ct26 Hybrid Tt S148

hi people just bought a new turbo its a ct26 tt s148 waiting to go on my st185RC.i was told it was rebuilt by ats in wakefield has the 7 stud pattern bored out with single ported wastegate..the impeller and compressor blades are bigger then my ct26 and have no sign of scraping or damaged blades..

im concerned about the shaft play it has small amount of play side to side none in and out ive been told this is normal from my mechanic.just thought id get your views on this and for some peace of mind thanks...

Yup that is normal.

I had a "brand new" CT-26 hybrid with T4 internals for a supra, if you wobbled the shaft you could just feel it move.

Once it is spinning up and the oil ways are presurised it is all fine.

It went like stink afterwards :D

Thanks for the advice some peace of mind knowing yours has shaft play brand new lol.. yeh it does wobble abit but seems all good cant wait to get this thing on just waiting for my manifold cheers..
