The Little Tranny That Couldn't!

:help: I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla That purzzzz like a kitten... The problem is, that it only does it while not moving... The transmission does not seem to be connected to the car. I pulled the pan off the bottom of the tranny expecting to find some parts or metel pieces or at least some metal grindings... nothing. The transmission fluid was to the level it should be...

Generally speaking... Tranny work costs a lot... Any possabilities would help. Here's some more info.

1. It's the FE

2. Also, When I move the shifter forwards and backwards, the arm on the Tranny does the same thing. (which kinda tells me that it's connected and nothing is broken in the tranny). But again... it's just not connected to the engine... is that possible?

Someone gave me an idea that it could possibly be an issue with a computerized component? again... is that possible?

Engine goes - transmission doesn't. Sounds like a clutch problem to me.
