Hi

I hope someone can help.

We have a 2007 Aygo+ with 33k on it

We have just started to have issues with it. The bite on the clutch has always felt high up on the pedal travel. Toyota checked this and said it was normal.

Anyway yesterday I was drivig and noticed a slight slip and judder when pulling off in 1st gear. Then it took a fair bit of effort to get the car into 2,3,and 4 gear. Then when putting the car into reverse clutch down we had a loud gringing noise. As I am not really technical not sure if this is the clutch or not.Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Gareth

Sounds like the clutch may be on the way out, I believe some Aygo's had a problem a while ago....

Gareth, as Jan&Tone say it sounds like the clutch is on its way out.

I find that going into reverse quickly from coming to a stop will cause it to 'crunch/grind' I don't think its anything to worry about although it does sound like you need a new clutch and I believe you have the old 180mm clutch whereas since 2009 the Aygo has been fitted with a beefier 190mm clutch from the Yaris.

Hope that helps
