Hammer a tight fitting socket over the wheelnut then remove as normal (you`ll need a replacement wheelnut)

Hi mate,

Is it the spare you're trying to get off the carrier? (if so try this).

1st squirt plenty of WD40 into the lock, and work the key in and out.

2nd don't try to turn the key you will snap it, just try pulling

the cover gently, with the key fully inserted, and it will come off.

It's the road dirt that gets in and causes this, mine the same sometimes.

Hope this helps.

Gman.

EDIT : I'm talking about the ignition key here BTW.

Gman.
