Carlube 5W-30 Semisynthetic

Hi All.

Although I use fully synthetic Mobil 1 ESP (5-30), but I went to euro carpart where carlube semi synthetic 5w-30 was for £18.99.

As Toyota recommends semi-synthetic, can somebody explain, how is carlube oil. I think its bargain on this price.

Also can somebody tell me, which steering oil avensis MK2 takes, green or pink. ECP sales advisor does not know about it.

As I mentioned the oil is dark, shall I be changing the steering oil completely?

Cheers.

Have been using Carlube 5W/30 in my 52 reg Avensis. No problems & no oil burning at all.

Asda is always a good place to check...

Last batch of Mobil 1 FE 5W30 semi-synthetic cost me £10 for 5 litres thumbsup.gif

I never got that price in Asda in England....

10 is sort of free for this type of oil.

Anyway I bought 5 litre of carlube 5w-30 for 19 pounds and will give it a try on next service.

Cheers,

Mobil 1 ESP is what I'd go for! As Acetip has said you'll never know what % synth oil is in the can. You can get 5ltr of ESP for £26 delivered off eBay as I did. Just wish I could use the Motul V300 in my Avensis. But the D-CAT wont like it :crybaby:
