Automatic Ac

Hi,

I have just bought my first Toyota, and have a query about the AC.

With the fans on full, and the temp set to LO the system doesn't push a lot of air into the cabin (nowhere near as much as my previous Saab...)

Could the pollen filter be blocked sufficiently to cause a significant reduction in the air flow?

I think the air not being very cold is due to the low fan speed, and possibly a re-gas needed.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

First thing to check would be the pollen filter. Try running the system for a short period with it removed and see how it performs.:)

Dont clean it, rather change it. Its 2004 and probably never changed filter.

Check the blockage there, and keep checking it regularly, at least once in a year.

I have recently changed mine. It was full of leaves, and fungus.

Also when you turn on the fan and temp set to Lo, it does not blow the air to max, because its fan only.

If you click AC and inside circulation, the air pumping become twice.

Simply, without AC you need to manage the temp, so it does not blow really hard, but when you turn on AC, it takes it serious bussiness and take it to max blowing.
