Cruise Control Logistics

I have driven many cars in the past with Cruise control. And I have invariably had a problem of what to do with my right foot when in CC. The only car that I have seen recently is the Seat Leon which has a foot rest on both sides of the footwell.- one for the left foot and one for the right one.

Now that is really thinking of the driver!!!

With the Auris I try desperately to stuff my right foot under the accelerator pedal, but it's too tight a fit. So I usually put my foot on the accelerator - which defeats the object of the CC.

Will someone please speak to the Car Manufactures?? Or do all the new cars now have the extra footrest??
