Anyone Had This Problem With Stereo?

Problems with the stereo in our Verso, described here

Any ideas or possible solutions?

We had an intermittant problem with the radio in out 08 Verso

Sometimes it worked (all functions) perfectly, other times it was completely dead, and on a couple of occasions, it powered up but the display was just full of characters.

There was no way of replicating the problem either, we took it to the dealer only for it to work fine once they'd moved it into the workshop.

Eventually had to take it back with radio not working and leave the engine running so dealer could see the exact problem.

The whole unit was replaced under warranty (i know that doesnt help you)

I Never did find out what the exact problem was or wether it is a common problem. I too suspected a loose connection but as the whole unit was replaced can only assume it was something internal.

You could try ringing Inchcape Guildford, or Try Toyota GB as our original unit will have gone back somewhere for either repair or inspection.
