I had to replace a tyre on my 53 plate 2 ltr T spirit yesterday. It was a 215/45/zr17. Is this the standard size for this model?

AJ....your question kinda begs the question....what size are your other 3 (4) tyres....?

Yes they are the correct size for your car but later around 2005/6 they changed them to 215/50/17 but the ride is still hard compared to lower spec models fitted with 16 inch wheels and 205/55/16 tyres.
