Hi,

Having owned a 1998 Freesport for over 5 years , have just now purchased "The Beast" !!

I was told by the last owner it is a "NV" model , but i'm not so sure....It has no model badges at all.

It shows as

Paint Code - 8M6

Trim Code - FC14

ACA20R - AZMNKW

Thebeast.jpg

2 Tone interior ( Blue ) a/c , Rear spoiler ,

Any help would be great as i dont want to insure it as the wrong model type !

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge the NV didnt come out until the year after, (round fog lamps) I had a very similar 2002 model albeit diesel + 5dr, this had leather trim and was a VX noticeable by the extd wheelarches + color coded bumpers, next one down was a GLX, so if your car has leather I would guess its a 2002....2.0ltr petrol VX (and a very nice one too)but not absolutely certain heres mine for comparison  Stew

Hi,thanks for your nice comments about "Fat Boy" , he's only got 22K on the clock !!

It does not have leather , it has 2 tone blue / gray cloth interior... But has got a rear spoiler and step (not shown in the photos)

NV's seem to have 2 tone bodywork or plastic bumpers?

The closest i have found is the NRG model , but i would expect to have NRG stickers on the wings above the side indicators?

If i go to Toyota dealer , will they be able to tell me the exact model , i cant find anything online to say one way or the other....

:ffs:

does it have a propt shaft? I belive NV`s are 2wd only? I could be wrong thou?

According to WIKI The rav was available in NV 2 wheel drive....nrv, gx and vx all 4x4, I am sure if you phone any dealer with your reg/vin number they will tell you exactly which it is  Stew

Looks like an NRG in lagoon blue (see my pic)Think it should have nrg on the front wings though. There were some imports around at that time and they had slightly different decals. I've got the brochure from 2002 if you have questions.

A mate of mine has got one of these badgeless 3 door 4WDs. Perhaps Kingo will identify it from the VIN No?
