Starlet Water Leak.

hi guys,

just wondering if anyone knows of any issues with water leaking into drivers footwell after a night of rain.

its 1998 starlet sr. i quickly took up the carpet by the pedals to see if there was any trace of water coming in but couldnt see anything.

the carpet seem to be only wet in the footwell, not up the sides or back. really odd.

before i go to town on stripping it out, does anyone know of anything that leaks or if anyone else has had this.

I had a leak in my passenger footwell.

Wouldn't get soaking so I could only tell it was wet was from the smell it made was (from moulding old water I'm guessing) and then touching the carpet for any sign of damp.

I searched high and low trying to find where it was coming in.

In the end I found out my footwell drainage plug was cracked and weathered so I siliconed that up and dried the carpet.

So far I have had no more problems (touch wood) :)
