Put it on ramps and take the plastic shield off. You can look straight up at them there

sorry Anch, cant post foto: phone/camera on the blink! gettin worn out like me!)The bolts sem very tight and the allen key just slips when turned.they never seem to make a deep enough space for the allen key. gonna try again tomorrow with LOTS & LOTS of WD40! BTW, are the bolts in my scv 9mm or 10mm?

have those photo learnt carefully -- both SCVs can be undo by means of one wrench (12 or 13 or 14) as far as I ve caught the scale. You can use socket one as well -- what would be better there. DO not invent a bike -- it has already been invented mate :)

Good luck/Igor

Dear Igormus. a wrench to my knowledge is an adjustable spanner, which will not fit the said bolts what is 12 or 13 or 14?

millimeters?or micro-millimeters? cause niether of these sizes will fit the bolts

no way with adjustable wrench there ---- both flanged type SCvs are subjected to be undo by a normal way using both socket wrench with ratched handle. No offends MATEY !!!! we just wonna help you. You can also use allen type wrench but with ratched handle -- the reult is the same. CHeers/Igor

Do I understand you right? You are trying to undo the screws that hold the SCVs into the fuel pump?

I can see from the photos in the pinned section that they are cap head allen screws so no spanner is going to get them out. If the hex is cream crackered then you will have to revert to more severe means. That means knocking something in a bit bigger, you might just get a stud extractor in or if you use a small sharp cold chisel to dig a groove in the right hand side as you look then angle it down and tap it anti-clockwise. The look like 6mm metric to me so you should easily be able to find some replacement screws.

If all else fails you will have to remove the pump but it is a big job so avoid it if you can.

You need to buy some of the cheapest anti allergy tablets from any of the supermarkets (my mrs found 2 boxes for £1 in Morrisons). Take one a day until the little bggrs have gone. You may still get bitten but you won't react to them.

I start taking them 1 week before hols and never have a problem.

They won't get that screw out though

hi matey

when installed new/old bolts -- it is necessary to put a bit of antisieze copper compound on the bolt/s threads -- this will allow to unscrew them easily (on the next time). Cheers/Igor
