Hi guys,

I've been lurking & researching for a while, but today I finally put a deposit on a gen2 T-Spirit, 07 with only 12k miles!

Spent a while looking for the right car & fingers crossed I've got it! I pick it up next week,

Happy motoring :)

Mark

I am in exactly the same boat as you, but can't find anything without a very high milage or price on it. How much did you pay, and what sort of seller, service history? Any guarentee?

Hi

I feel I've dropped on to a bargain;

07 plate, T-Spirit with leather seats, 11.5k miles.

I'm buying from LS Copcutt & sons toyota main dealer in Worksop, near sheffield.

It's had the 10k service & the dealer is doing the 4 year/ 40k service too. 12 months warranty, 12 month tax, mot & AA membership. It's having a few minor scuffs on the bumpers sorted out & a new set of wheel trims.

I've traded in a 02 plate Honda Jazz with 100k on the clock. Window price was £10,995, ive paid £10k plus the Jazz.

I'm happy with the price, the jazz has served it's time & I think I got a fair price for it.

The dealer was great, not too pushy and great customer service.

I pick the car up on tuesday & can't wait!

The trick is the set a budget, have a good idea of the model ranges and what spec you want. I knew I wanted a t-spirit & ideally with the intelligent parking (07 onwards) but that's because I'm a gadget boy! The leather seats wasn't a big deal to me but this car had them & wasn't charging extra for them.

I've probably spent six months looking casually, but I wasn't in a position to buy until recently & I also wasn't in any rush, I had the luxury of waiting for the right car & I think it's paid off. I've seen similar age similar specced cars with over 60k miles for the same price ...the difference of 50k miles is four years motoring for me!

  • 3 weeks later...

I've only done 15k miles in my 2005 Prius. Due to the low mileage, the brake disks got corroded and had to be skimmed. Was all done along with the service but was quite pricey and it's something to be aware of on very low mileage vehicles...especially ones like the Prius that encourage very gentle braking anyway.

That is the total sum of problems I've had with mine and even that was largely my fault for not using it much..this is an incredibly reliable car considering the technology in it.

Hi all just joined the forum, and will be picking up my Prius Thursday. Very excited is there anything major I need to know about before collecting?

Enjoy your Prius. Did a long journey last week end in our Gen 3. It was a joy to drive and if you do get stuck in traffic as we did you are not using fuel.

our previous Gen 2 was also a good car. Happy motoring.
