Pioneer Avic 920Bt

I have been looking at the Pioneer 920BT Navigation unit and was wondering if it could replace the TNS 510. There is some mention that the TNS 510 is a Pioneer. The TNS 310 is too expensive and does not have a CD, let alone a DVD.

I have ordered the Pioneer for my Nissan Navara. If it's any good, I will see if I can fit one in the iQ. I would therefore sell the TNS 510. If someone is interested let me know and make an offer. As it's a December 2010 car, it's as new.

Do you find the TNS 510 lacking in functionality in some way, to such an extent that you would prefer to change it?

The TNS 510 is a good unit, it navigates well, has a CD, radio, iPhone dock, USB etc. The Pioneer has a DVD, and as I go camping with my 9 year old son, I thought it would be good if it rains. I'm actually fitting the Pioneer F920BT in a Nissan Navara first. This has a basic CD radio. If I like it, I was thinking of changing the iQ to match too.

I returned the Pioneer due to the dreadful navigation system. I brought a more expensive Kenwood DNX 9280 BT with a brilliant rear camera. I don't think the unit would fit an iQ though.

Are you still thinking of selling the TNS510 - I want one if possible??

The Pioneer was rubbish and I ended up returning it for a more expensive Kenwood model in my Nissan Navara. It has Garmin on it and works quite well. It can also play DVD's and has a brilliant rear view camera installed as well. It has speed cameras on it too. That's the problem with the iQ model. It's too expensive, does not play DVD's or have speed camera warnings. But as a navigation unit, it works very well. I like that when are on motorways, it displays 3 up coming junctions with exit numbers, distance and time to them and this includes service stations and what facilities they have. The TNS350 costs over £900 plus fitting, so I don't think it's worth the outlay, just for speed cameras.
