have you checked the output of the alternator?

The other thing is that I seem to remember that the alternator does have a separate bit to feed to the warning light which can 'go' before the actual alternator fails. If you have a garage locally that specialises in alternators, maybe they would check it for you. I'm kinda lucky as I live 2 miles from the area specialists !

Yeah i've checked it and when the light works the alternator output is fine, the light dosen't always come on when you turn the ignition on and when it dosen't than the alternator dosen't charge. But as i said when it comes on with the ignition turn on it charges fine. When the light isn't coming on there is no voltage on the alternator plug for that wire, but the Battery and ignition feeds are there still.

Hi It looks like the alternator brushes are worn out or stuck in the holder,

Try tapping the alternator casing with a small hammer maybe that will help.
