Vigo Clutch

Hi, please bear with me new to this. Need some help with my vigo 3 ltr, it all started with clutch pedal not returning when pressed. garage man recommended starting 'cheap' first, so after slave cylinder then master cylinder still no improvment. a new clutch was fitted compleat. seemed a lot better, but after a few days noticed in 3rd and 4th the clutch sliiped occasionally. returned to the garage man who said there is an inline 'valve' that he has bypassed waiting to see if this stops the slipping. have been told only the imports have the valve fitted. what does this valve do and is it neccessary and where can i get one from?? thanks
