Hi to all members of the TOC .

I have just persuaded my MD to buy me a nearly new Auris T spirit HSD to replace my offspring murdering (if you read the info on this and other similar forums) BMW 120d . I will not lie and say that I don't occasionally miss the point and squirt ability of the BMW ( which was also chipped to provide 180+ HP) but I have got to say that the HSD has completely changed the way I drive and therefore has made my daily commute of 100 miles ( 50miles each way) a helluva lot more relaxing, and I am alot less likely to get a speeding ticket . In fact sometimes it feels like a speeding ticket would be a Badge of honour because maintaining decent average speeds in a HSD can be somewhat of a challenge ... I mean no disrespect by this statement, indeed there is a fair bit of brain power required to drive this type of car in an economical manner. So as it is I am getting 57-59mpg at the moment , and the latest tank average is showing 65mpg . I will know this evening when I brim it how accurate this .
