Steering Click

It is a recall fix so warranty means nothing, they will honour the recall even if the car was 6 years old (impossilbe at the moment but you get the point).

Well I got a reply from Mr T and they said no to any recall for a steering column issue. The also deny having any special service campaigns for the Auris steering column. Needless to say they aren't covering it under warranty. Any ideas anyone?

I have found this int the toyota-tech, hope it helps.

EMC Auris - LHD only - Steering gear knocking noise"

The above looks like for LHD model only, and it appears that the manual for fixing it is "CP-0011T-0311-T-EN-IR(en)", but there is another

"Corolla, Auris: Technical service bulletin - CP-0002T-0211-T-EN-IR(en)

Steering gear knocking noise on TMC Corolla"

There is another thing too

"Auris, Corolla - Customer satisfaction campaign - 8K3E-480-T-EN(en)

Steering Column Concern"

I'm not sure if this can answer your question about is this a recall or not but

if you pay 3 euro you will be able to see what is in those documents (for an hour).

Thanks for the info. I have still a month of warranty left with the independent garage I bought from so they are having a look. Will let you know if they find the problem.

I have sometimes slight clicking noise on parking speeds, especialy after going off pavemets and doing full turn.

Toyota replaced intermeediate steering shaft, and now is much better, but still there is a clicking sometimes.

Sometimes I can feel clicking on the steering wheel itself, and sometimes only can hear it.

Does this look like your problems?
