Anyone Installed A Zex Nos Kit?

Im wondering if anyone have installed a ZEX NOS kit into their Celica? Im wanting to make it a project, but would like to know if the gear box is strong enough and its basically capable! :P

Yes... LordEd installed one. Nothing broke. The standard engine and gearbox can take the abuse. But i dont think its worth wasting money putting a Nitros kit on a non turbo celica..... its not a car meant for huge levels of power.

But its low on my priority list next to adj. shocks and better pads

Your car already has stiffer shocks and is more stable in stock form

I wont be going for maximum power gains with it

Probably only 30 or 40hp as I want the bottle to last longer

The only danger I see in your car is that you already have a big power surge when you hit the 'Lift'

You might not want to use it on a wet road

If you fit NOS, your insurance will sky rocket as you will need to declare it.

The gearbox should be good for about 280lbs-ft. I know it is able to cope with 260lbs, as that's what mine ran for a little while.

If you want a little more grunt, then get some stage 2 cams. To make the most out of them you'll need a new ECU, but the stock one will work (the odd CEL may pop up though as it may something think there's an issue when there's not).

The cams smooth out lift, give a little more low down grunt, also giving around a 20bhp increase.

Any more power = Supercharger as there is no UK turbo manifold that can be bought off the shelf!
