Hi.... I've been a browser for a while, but thought it time to register and join the masses. We own two Toyotas, an 05 plate Corolla Verso T3 and (now) an 05 plate Avensis T3-x, both of the 1.8 vvTi variety. Until recently, we'd owned a 1998 (V plate) Avensis GS 1.8... which gave us 11 years of trouble free monitoring ... bought when less than a year old... but felt that it was time to move on. Havign had the Verso for 6 years (from new)... finding the 1.8vvTi Avensis in a local garage provoked interest - and it seems quite nice so far - owned it for about 6 weeks. Have read, with interest, the threads about the vvti engines (as we have two from the 2005 era) and will keep a watch on oil levels - both of which seem very good at the moment, but we don't exactly do much motorway mileage - but when we do, we'll watch it. So, that' it - happy Toyota owners for some years... and now on our third... hope the hassle free motoring continues... although I posted a question in the avensis club forum re water getting into boot. Hey ho!
