hi i was out driving yesterday wen suddenly my car started to stall as soon as the revs drop down to 1krpm it cuts out..while driving car runs fine reved above 1k rpm but sluggish up hills im assuming definetly fuel pump as i was told before it was weak and now has gave up on me..

ive looked under the rear seats no sign of fuel pump but has a location in the boot just under the carpet on the left wich has a white plastic casing..ive been told this is for the fuel gauge that reads the amount of fuel and will have to drop the tank to replace fuel pump

i have now found the fuel pump on eBay with the following link but have 3 different types ive been told the gss342 is common for the celica gt4 here is the following link http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/UPRATED-HIGH-FLOW-255-LPH-FUEL-PUMP-TOYOTA-MR2-CELICA-/400223606329?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D4%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D780321060496213527

im just wondering if this is the correct pump for my st185 rc??as they told me if unsure best to check on forums but did say the gss342 is the most common for the gt4..

the other thing id like to know if its possible to access the fuel pump without dropping the tank im sure id beable to do it myself if not cars back in garage..anyone with info would be helpfull thanks

afraid short of cutting the tank there is no way to remove the pump without dropping the tank :(

also be aware of rusty fuel lines as these have a habit of breaking when removing the tank.

th GS432 looks very much like the walbro 255 pump and should fit with no issues. you will have to join the wires to the existing wires though. i recommend the use of crimp terminals with heat shrink on
