Yaris Cost!

I've been looking at the cost of similar cars to my Yaris T Spirit 1.33 MMT. 6 weeks old. When all is taken into account such as spec, 5 year warranty, free fuel, free servicing. credit charges etc. The Yaris is starting to look like a reasonable price. That's if any new car can be of course! I've tried to match spec for spec and all those other things. I know this is an outgoing model but in time that won't be quite so important. I do plan to keep this one a long time. I'm 63 no, not public sector, and retired so can't keep changing cars!

Even cars from Kia and other "cheaper" makes can cost more. At the upper end look at the Polo with DSG. 2 years extra warranty on the Micra £419. No doubt very nice cars. I'm not saying any of them are bad. On some cars a spare wheel is extra as is a centre rear head restraint! Not many petrol models have £30 road tax either. It all adds up. Of course, I should have done this exercise before buying but I have no real regrets. Doh! Now, where to go with all that "free" petrol.

Views of others would be interesting. Many regards.
