1. do you have to change the gear box oil and at what milage

2. The Hybrid system coolant - which Milage to change

3. how to check whether the milage is genuine

4. The inverter - servicing and other

Hi there...

All the questions above will be answered in your handbook. I would have a look myself but the book is at home and I'm at work!

I suspect that 1 and 4 will not be very often, number 2 is probably every 2 years. As to number 3, depending on how old the vehicle is then the mot certificate may help, or an hpi check....

Easy answers on this one

1. No change schedule, just check levels every four years.

2. System is filled with pink super long life coolant change every 10yrs/100,000 miles ( same as engine )

3. Usual stuff check paperwork, contact dealers

4. No servicing required.

No requirement to change from Toyota but it seems prudent to change at 50/60,000miles as people that have done it report the oil to be very discoloured by this time. See Priuschat for more info.
