Hello all, first post as I've recently purchased a 2007 Avensis Estate D4D T3X, after having owned VW's all my life. (I still own a MK2 Golf GTI :)) My Avensis came with only one key, and I've found info on here about re-programming old keys to work, I don't want to pay the stealers £170 to do it for me! Can someone tell me definitively:- If I buy a used key can I switch the blade out to a new one and have it cut for this car and Can I then clear the codes already on it and re-programme to my car using methods found on here? Thanks.
