Ecu Light On And No Lift

hi guys have a 2001 celica 190 and it has a few faults, the lift aint working when the revs get to 6000 rpm i get no extra power and the ecu light come strate on, and also the engine is very tapy sounds like a ford engine.

so far i have changed the lift bolts, cleaned the maf sensor and taken the oil control valves out the oil is clean and it dont burn oil either, had diagnostics plugd in and he told me there is a ocv fault and also my second air sensor aint working map sensor but when i phoned toyota they say there aint a map sensor on this engine so would it be my 02 sensor? please help before i scrap the car and go back to honda :)

Are you sure you don't mean MAF (Mass Air Flow) Sensor?, these can get dirty but can be cleaned easily as long as you take care not to damage it as they are delicate.

hi thanx for the reply, the maf sensor is fine is working and yes i have cleaned it, im thinking my throttle position sensor is on its way out but i could be wrong i just really dont no wat to do with it and i aint getting alot of help off this forum apart from yourself Scarlett Arrow thanx alot

fixed now guys it were the ocv filter was completly blocked now it goes like a rocket tapets are still quite loud tho does any1 no if they are hydrolic?
