Yaris Help Please

Hi First time post for me. I need some help. My wife has a Yaris 1999 VVTI, 40,000 miles. It has the auto clutch manual change gearbox. When pulling away it judders, also on gear changes. It is now very difficult to drive smoothly. It has the ECU light on, which, when cleared, only returns at around 60 mph. The fault code is something to do with throttle trim. The two, may or may not be related. Any assistance would be gratefully received.
