Hi all. Just joined as I know I will shortly need lots of advice!!

I bought a RAV 4 a few months ago. Great little car and we used it all the time in the snow. Went everywhere. Left the LC in the garage as everyone was sliding into everyone else in the lanes and didnt want a bang that wasnt of my doing.

Anyway. This great car ( which I've loved since they first appeared on the scene) is for my daughter to learn to drive in. It has one or two problems which are about though not causeing too much greif. However 1 that isnot as good as I would like it it has a very clunky gear change and whild I am ok it still catches me out. For the Daught it is more of a problem. Do we think it is the clutch? The pedal goes to the floor and the slipping point is near the floor.

Advice would be great.

When was the gearbox oil last changed?

Car was serviced when I got it. Dont suppose that included gear box oil change.

I wouldn't have thought so for a min unless it was asked for. I'd look at the box oil 1st

Copy your question in the RAV4 section.... along with a bit more info on the car - mileage; etc. The boxes are pretty bomb proof.
