I have seen some 7­½ x 17" alloys for a celica/avensis with 35 offset

What is the best tyre size to go for, what is the widest that will fit without catching?

I have 235/40/17 on my gen 5 and they rub like f*** on the back going to try 215/40/17 when i get the money or penalty points.

Yeah, go for the 215.40/17's they look good and are actually recomended for the celica. Mine feels miles better with them [ 17" mangel amazons ] classy...
