Another Prius Owner Coming Out Of The Woodwork

Hi people. Thought I might as well make my first post here :)

I'm the proud owner of a 2005 Prius which has less than 15k miles on the clock. Working from home all the time does that to you...

Had a Jeep before that and do miss the ride height, roomy cabin, etc. so I recently decided to take a look at the RAV4 as an alternative. Didn't take me long to discount that. There is just no way (I'll say this again just in case any Toyota decision makers are around) there is NO WAY I would ever EVER buy a car without a spare wheel. Hope that's clear enough!

With that off my chest...after much soul searching, common sense took over and in the end I decided to just keep the Prius. It's been completely reliable (covering just 15k in 6 years it should be!) and still looks smart. Just going to get some decent winter tyres (and maybe even an autosock for backup!) before we get dumped on again this year. Last December was no fun, while the 2nd gen Prius is fine on flat ground, that intrusive traction control coupled with poor OEM tyres was a nightmare on snow covered hills.

Anyway, that's more than enough for now. Looking forward to a few more years of trouble free motoring before I have to start looking around again...maybe they'll have seen sense and reintroduced that spare wheel by then *hey, what's that curly tailed pink thing floating around up there?*

Phil.

Welcome to TOC

Glad you like the Prius - and they are still reasonably unique - when they become as ubiquitous as the Focus (sorry for swearing) then is the time to change :yahoo:
