Double Din

Hey all,

I am contemplating buying a Double din head unit for my 07 Corolla, (Standard one a bit crappy). Any recommendations on what / what not to buy??

What sort of thing are you after???

I have a double DIN Alpine unit in my Hilux.

It is a 6.5" touch screen, as a unit it playes DVDs and will take a DVD full of MP3s. (or CD)

I also added

An extra cable making it fully iPod compatible.

bluetooth unit for handsfree, and bluetooth media streaming (never used) the phone control trough the touch screen is nice though.

Sat nav using a sat nav unit under the passenger seat.

DVB Digital TV tuner.

It's not audiophile sound quality, but it's better than stock - you can connect an external DAC if you want.

The features are nice too. - it's also compatible with factory steering wheel controls, where fitted.

Thanks for replying, Your unit certainly has a lot of features and with Alpine you know you've got a quality product. I have since sourced a Pioneer unit.
