Hi All, I need some help/advice. My 1.0 Aygo (2006) 21,000 miles is showing emulsifying/fudge like goo under the oil filler cap, we clean it off but it's there again the day after. We took it to the Toyota dealer (still under 12 month warranty). They said that it's perfectly normal. They also stated that the anti freeze is pink and would therefore show in the goo as a pinkisk residue.....I'm not convinced....help please. Thank you.

When you're seeing this, how hot is the engine? How many miles did you take to warm it up?

My wife uses the car daily for shopping etc, not many miles in any given day (6 - 15). I have checked it both warm and cold, with the same resulting goo...thanks.

You should check with a properly warmed up engine, like after a 50 mile drive or so.

With short bits you can't get rid of condensation that occurs inside the engine...

I agree completely

If you are doing only short journeys you might want to consider changing your oil more frequently

you shouldn't have ANY coolant in the oil. sounds like a leaking head gasket. happened to ours. take it somewhere else for a second opinion.

try and give the car a good long run every few weeks. having said that, ours does 12 miles a day, 6 each way, and we don't have this problem. i agree with the comments above on condensation, but no way should you have coolant in there.

Sounds very like water in the oil, either from condensation which unlikely, or head gasket... As above, get a second opinion for your own peace of mind...

their is nothing wrong with your car.....if you had used the search button this has been covered many many many many times...all toyotas 3 cylinders do this depending on how you use your car ie mostly short trips or long trips....it happens because of the way the engine breather system works and you will only find it in the cap no place else...
