Introducing My New (Old) Celica

Hi everyone,

Have been on the forums for a while venturing on the Celica forum occasionally but now I probably have more of a reason to spend some extra time here as I have just bought myself a Celica 2.0 GTI. It seems to be mechanically and electrically very sound for a 21 yr old car, paintwork and wheels are a bit tired so need some attention but nothing too serious from what I can see.

Faults I have found so far:

Drivers seat will only lock in at quite a laid back position

Central locking opens both doors but won't lock passenger door so I have to reach over to lock it on the inside before getting out.

Apart from that it seems pretty faultless

Hi Steve,

Thank you, not bad for £250 eh?

I think it might cost me a bit more than that to get it to how I want it though

Thank you

Had a bit of a tinker with the car last night and managed to get the seat to work properly, had a good check over the engine bay, topped up the oil a little as it was low but looks fairly new, air filter is pretty new too.

 It was owned by a customer of mine who bought a Jag off me, it wasn't any good as a p/x for us so I decided to rescue it.

The purchase price is only part of the story though and it needs a fair bit of hugging and kissing to make it feel better, nothing too major but it needs a service and cambelt change along with some bushes etc etc
