Which Tyres?

Hi, Just checked my tyres having done 22,000miles in my 2010 Prius T Spirit, which is shod with Michelin Premacy HP, 215 45R 17, 87W tyres which are wearing very well, still have 5mm on fronts and 6mm on rears. Got through all the snow last winter with no bother, even though they're not recommended for winter use.

Just thought I'd ask whether the latest models are still shod with these, have heard before on this forum that some use a Bridgestone tyre.

Would be pleased to hear comments from other owners as to their experiences with the original tyres fitted, I know that the fuel consumption can be dramatically reduced by the use of a wrong tyre, but as you can see below on my 'Fuelly' tag my average is not bad so will possibly stay with Michelins.

Can anyone comment on availability.. I've had tyres on other cars which when needed have to be ordered in with quite a wait.. if this is the case here, maybe I'll buy a set now and store them in the garage!

Many thanks, Steve

I've not had good availability near where I live on the Primacy HP for the Prius size. We just replaced one as my wife hit a bit of concrete on a dual carriage way but are happy with the Primacys. I've had them on other cars as well and like them.

I have a Gen 2, so slightly different, Prius and have owned since 14k miles. It has now done getting on for 22k miles and is still on original Bridgestones but with less tread left than yours! I think the first owner was much harder on the tyres than me so not easy to make comparisons but your Michelins are doing well if that is all they have worn.
