Can Youretro Fitting Cruise Control On 2006 Rav

hello,

Just back from holiday , rental vw had cruise control, loved it

I've a manual 2006 rav 2 litre petorl , and some eBay seller have stalks u can just add into the car

Anyone done this?

It definitely can be done !!!. No idea of cost but I would go for genuine Toyota kit rather than spurious parts....

Hmmmmm ---- Ireland and Irish regulations ???

Have you thought about fitting a Marley 200mm x 200mm slab to the floor and 'gas' pedal? You then buy a fairly cheap 12V inflator from any of the cheap camping shops and a football. (You can use a rugby ball).

Place the deflated ball underneath the slab. When you start, you will need the ball fully inflated to avoid doing wheelies down the main road. When you need to pick up speed, you deflate the ball allowing the slab to put more pressure on the gas pedal. A simple pressure valve and tap will operate this which can be hung from the courtesy light. To slow down, inflate the ball again.

It seems a very cheap ingenious fault free method of cruise control. Please let me know if it works, as I haven't tried it yet. Thanks.
