hi i just bought this Yaris 1.4 D SR (2009)

On the instrumental panel if i press the switch/button on right it toggles from these

1. odo - total number of miles the vehicle has done so far

2. Trip A

3. Trip B

4. xx mpg

5. xx mpg on this one AVG appears near the fuel level

6. xx miles

7. xx mph

I know what 1, 2 , 3 are. Can someone please explain what rests are for, the manual doesnt seems to be clear.

4 seems to give me fuel consumption based on the speed.

Also in the manual it says fuel tank capacity is 42 litre or 11.1 gallon. Is this including reserve?

what is the capacity of the reserve tank

how many average miles it gives once last bar displays for fuel level.

thank you, help will be much appreciated.

In the petrol version (probably the same for the diesel) there's approx. 7 litres of fuel left when the final segment starts to flash and average miles left (even when 'miles left' shows zero) is dependant on driving conditions if that makes sense.

No problem bickyz, it'll just be what the computer thinks after the previous fuel load and current driving conditions. Often if you're covering more miles than you did before when you fuelled up. Did you put in more fuel in this time than you did previously? The computer learns all the time though it isn't 100% accurate. Clearly in your car's case! It will improve though. As long as the fuel gauge isn't blinking, you've got enough left to not have to worry, despite "approx. distance I can travel with remaining fuel" being 0 or 100
